HELP ENSURE NO ONE MISSES OUT ON THEIRS!

DISCOVER HOW

Help ensure no one misses out on life’s precious firsts

Our family and friends, our homes and jobs, our dreams and memories. Life’s big milestones make us who we are.

Whether it’s taking your first steps, your first day at school or getting your first job, we all deserve the chance to celebrate life’s firsts.

And, for almost 40 years, we have been helping children and adults with disabilities to take their first steps to independence. But we couldn’t do it without you.

Read on to find out how you can change someone’s life forever.

FIRST STEPS

Imagine the joy of a child amputee taking their very first steps on a prosthetic leg.

£30

SOIT 20 € APRÈS
RÉDUCTION FISCALE

could help make a custom-fit prosthetic leg for a child amputee.

For an amputee like 6-year-old Michael (pictured), a first prosthesis is an important milestone. After months of daily strengthening and rehabilitation exercises, months of frustration and emotional support, the day finally arrives.

Made just for him, Michael's first prosthesis is the moment where his dream of walking becomes real for the first time.

Over time and as he grows, his prosthesis will need to be changed and adapted, but that first one he will always remember as the greatest gift. The gift of hope.

Just £30 could help make a custom-fit prosthetic leg for a child amputee.

FIRST DAY
AT SCHOOL

Starting school is a special moment but children with disabilities are often blocked from attending.

£75

could help make a school accessible for a child with disabilities

The photo of them dressed up in their school uniform, the panic that sets in when they are dropped off for the first time, the new lessons they will learn and the friends they will make.

Sadly, more than 32 million children around the world are denied these precious moments. They are denied their fundamental right to learn, just because they have a disability.

We believe that every child has the right to be included in school. And, together, we can make it happen.

A gift of £75 could help support a disabled child to go to school.

FIRST TASTE OF INDEPENDENCE

Running, dancing, playing, exploring, dreaming! With the right support, children with disabilities can enjoy a fun-filled, carefree childhood.

£100

could provide specialised physiotherapy to help a disabled child gain strength, mobility and independence

could help us to deliver life-changing rehabilitation for a child.

For a child amputee, receiving their first prosthesis is a truly life-changing moment, but the hard work is far from over.

Physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists and social workers will all play a key role on the long road to recovery.

And at the end of that road is a hope that was at one point unthinkable –  hope for a happy, healthy and independent future and for many more life firsts to come.

A gift of £100 could help us to deliver life-changing rehabilitation for a child.
