War steals childhood. This Christmas, you can give it back.
For children in Gaza, Sudan or Ukraine, war isn't just a headline; it's their entire childhood.
All they know are the sounds of bombs, sirens, and terrified screams. What used to be their village, town or city is now a ghost town - toys and clothes scattered in the streets amid panic, homes and schools reduced to rubble.
Sadly, in conflicts around the world this year, thousands of children have been killed, thousands more have been injured, and they desperately need our support.
This Christmas, every minute counts. Your donation could restore hope and healing for these children.
Here’s how your donation could make a difference:
Your generosity could ensure that children affected by war receive life-changing support.

How your support helps around the world
Our teams are working tirelessly in Gaza and the West Bank, Sudan and Chad, Ukraine, Syria, Afghanistan and Yemen to respond to the urgent humanitarian crises, but we really need your support.
The challenges faced by children in these regions are immense. The inspiring stories of the children we support highlight the life-changing impact of your generosity.
- In Gaza, there are now more child amputees per capita than anywhere in the world. Our teams are working tirelessly to provide emergency rehabilitation for children with life-changing injuries, as well as fitting prosthetics for child amputees.
- In Sudan, millions of families have been forced to leave their homes, leaving injured children vulnerable and without care. We are providing desperately-needed rehabilitation care in Sudan and Chad, and supporting children through mental health and psychosocial support in Chad.
- In Syria, we're providing children and their families rehabilitation and mental health support, as well as distributing assistive devices and prosthetics. We're also providing stimulation therapy to malnourished children to prevent the long-term consequences of malnutrition.
Together, we can ensure no injured child is left behind.
Can we count on you to join us?

Eyewitness report
Sharaf lives in Khan Younis city in the south of Gaza. He manages our team that supports vulnerable populations to access shelter, education, and rehabilitation services. He describes the situation he is witnessing inside Gaza:
“The situation is catastrophic, a crisis in a crisis. People are surrounded by a fence from the north, east and south, and sea from west. Access and border crossing is blocked by fire, from above the rain of bombs.”
“It's a state of separation from reality. Your home, father, mother and even your children, each day you have to make the choice to die all at once in one room or to be separated across the Strip.”
“Each day I receive a call or through social media that one or more of my friends were killed or injured. Just yesterday morning I had two who were killed and two injured. Each one in Gaza is living in such a situation. The dead or those who still live, each one has a story, a story of fear, new life or loss.”
Sharaf, Area Manager for HI in Gaza.
Be a ray of hope for a vulnerable child. Please donate today to bring healing, safety, and joy to children living through war.
