" We condemn the Israeli military invasion on Gaza City, which has once again resulted in mass killings and forced displacement of around 1 million Palestinians already enduring unimaginable hardship for almost 2 years now.

The forced displacement orders in Gaza city that includes locations of humanitarian operations at this critical moment will leave communities cut off from essential aid, compounding an already dire humanitarian crisis.

For many families, this is the umpteenth time they have been uprooted, stripped of any safety or stability. The compounded trauma of repeated displacement is devastating, particularly for persons with disabilities, who face immense challenges in accessing safe shelter, medical care, and basic services amid escalating violence.

83% of persons with disabilities in Gaza have lost their assistive devices, how can they move to evacuate? How can they seek help? How can they survive? This is a death sentence for them.

This was a pre-announced military operation, yet it was met with silence and inaction by the international community. The absence of accountability reflects a deeply troubling normalisation of Israel’s impunity and underscores the ongoing, blatant violations of International Humanitarian Law.

Civilians are being deliberately targeted while those with the power to act fail to intervene.

We call on the international community to urgently uphold its responsibilities: to act to have an immediate and permanent ceasefire, unimpeded access of humanitarian aid, the unconditional release of hostages, ensure protection for civilians, demand accountability for violations, and take immediate measures to stop the continuous cycle of forced displacement and suffering.

The people of Gaza cannot wait any longer."
