Source is an international online resource centre focusing on disability and inclusion. It is designed to strengthen the management, use, and impact of information on disability and inclusion in both development and humanitarian contexts.
Source’s purpose is to collect, store and disseminate open information and allow users quick access to complex subject areas. It is primarily intended for use by practitioners and academics working in the field of disability.
Source provides free access to a unique online collection of information resources. These include books, reports, journals, manuals, toolkits, websites, and more. Much of the material is from developing countries and includes both published and unpublished literature that is not readily available elsewhere.
You also can search for international disability and health organisations using Source's organisations database.
All of the resources are free and available to download.
Source's main resources are grouped into six main topic areas within disability and inclusion:
Resources are also grouped according to the articles of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD).
Source's mission is to use available expertise to support the dissemination, repackaging, and sharing of information on disability and inclusion in challenging contexts. The aim is to support practitioners and promote research, innovation, learning, and training as well as North-South organisational linkages.
The underlying principle of Source is to promote the full participation people with disabilities in society.
Source is regularly reviewed in close partnership with expert organisations and individuals so that it offers free, up-to-date, relevant information. It offers a key point of access to information on disability and inclusion in development and humanitarian contexts.
Source is managed by Humanity & Inclusion.
