HI closed its programs in Indonesia  in July 2022.

In the previous years, HI supports social and economic inclusion projects for the most vulnerable and people with disabilities, and ensured they can access to inclusive multi-sectoral assistance, services, and information during the COVID-19 pandemic.

HI works in Yemen to support vulnerable people and persons with disabilities as well as those injured in the regional conflict, which has affected the country since March 2015. The organisation also supports NGOs to better include persons with disabilities in the emergency response.

HI also supports livelihood opportunities for people with disabilities and supports deinstitutionalisation efforts, promoting community-based care and independent living for individuals with disabilities.

HI’s work in Lebanon aims to improve the living conditions of the most vulnerable, including people with disabilities. HI also conducts clearance operations in areas contaminated by explosive ordnances during the civil war.

In Mali, HI runs projects to help strengthen the resilience of populations affected by conflicts, promote and support sustainable and inclusive development and support inclusive education initiatives.

HI shares its expertise with Moroccan organisations to promote the inclusion of people with disabilities in society, strengthen rehabilitation services and improve the quality of life of migrant populations.

HI is working in Mozambique to improve the living conditions of people severely affected by conflict and access to education and employment for people with disabilities.

HI operates with numerous partners inside Syria, offering rehabilitation and psychosocial support to people with disabilities or people who have been injured in the violence. The programme also conducts clearance operations and risk education sessions to prevent accidents caused by explosive remnants of war. Additionally, HI continues to bring assistance to the victims of the earthquake that occurred on February 6, 2023.

40 years after its creation in Cambodian refugee camps in Thailand, HI continues to support the most vulnerable people in Cambodia, including mine survivors, children with disabilities and road accident victims. HI also works to improve access to inclusive, quality education.

South Sudan is still plagued by violence. HI supports the most vulnerable populations, including people with disabilities, with a focus on inclusion and inclusive humanitarian action.

In Burkina Faso, HI defends the rights of people with disabilities and responds to the urgent needs of people affected by violence and internally displaced people.
