In Benin, HI is working to improve the quality of life of people with disabilities and promote their full participation in the country’s economic and social life.

HI strives to improve the inclusion and socio-economic integration of vulnerable people and people with disabilities in Algeria. We support capacity building and advocacy of civil society and advance new themes such as inclusive education, social insertion and inclusive local development.

HI has been working in Bangladesh since 1997 to ensure that people with disabilities are integrated into society. Our programme also provides support to thousands of Forcibly Displaced Myanmar Nationals (Rohingyas) who have fled Myanmar.

HI implemented its first project in Sri Lanka almost thirty years ago, focusing on training rehabilitation professionals in Colombo and Jaffna. HI is currently implementing projects focused on rehabilitation and resilience to climate change and disaster risk reduction. The organization is working for other sectorial projects including economic inclusion, inclusion technical assistance and inclusive education project for 2025. 

In the Democratic Republic of Congo, HI pprovides support to people affected by the humanitarian crises in the East of the country, notably by facilitating access to mental health and rehabilitation care.
