HI mine action in northern Chad 04/03/19
Some forty weapons clearance experts have been working in northern Chad since last November. They have already cleared 30,000 sq.m. of land - the equivalent of 4 football fields!

Caught in an horrific bombing, Nora is supported by HI teams in Yemen 17/01/19
Nora was seriously injured by a missile that fell outside the entrance to Al-Thawra Hospital in Al-Hudaydah, Yemen, as she arrived by bus with friends. She is being supported by Humanity & Inclusion's teams.

Half a tonne of weapons and bombs destroyed in Tawergha, Libya 16/01/19
Since November 2018, Humanity & Inclusion's six weapons specialists have removed 150 explosive devices from the streets of Tawergha, a city south of Misrata, Libya. Team leader Simon Elmont tells us more about the organisation’s work.

Safaa, 2, starts to walk thanks to rehabilitation care 11/01/19
In Jordan, Humanity & Inclusion has helped 450 children with disabilities or developmental delay since July 2017. The parents of two-year-old Safaa, who has cerebral palsy, are among those who have benefited from its expertise.

Sina works as an occupational therapist at the Basma hospital rehabilitation centre in Jordan. Since HI set up a specialist paediatric unit for neurological disorders, she has been working with children with cerebral palsy.

Raja, from Yemen, is 13 years old. She was looking after the sheep in the mountains when she trod on a mine which exploded and threw her into the air. Her leg was ripped off.

Latin America says Stop Bombing Civilians 10/12/18
The Regional Conference on Protecting Civilians from the Use of Explosive Weapons in Populated Areas organized by HI, in Santiago, Chile, ended on 6 December. 23 States adopted the Santiago Communiqué expressing concern over the devastating impact on civilians of the use of explosive weapons in populated areas. Well done HI Advocacy team!

Latin and Central America against the bombing of populated areas 05/12/18
On 5th and 6th December 2018, Humanity & Inclusion will organise a regional conference in Santiago, the capital of Chile, on protecting civilians from bombing. Twenty-six governments and some thirty civil society organisations and international NGOs will attend. The organisation hopes to raise awareness of this crucial issue and encourage States to take a stand against the use of explosive weapons in populated areas.

Cluster munitions investments in free-fall 03/12/18
According to the report Worldwide Investments in Cluster Munitions: A Shared Responsibility released on 3rd December by the non-governmental organisation PAX, investments in cluster munitions have fallen by two thirds since the last report in May 2017.

HI calls for assistance for mine victims 29/11/18
Humanity & Inclusion is attending the Meeting of States Parties to the Mine Ban Treaty from 26th - 30th November 2018 in Geneva. The organisation is calling on governments to support assistance for landmine victims whose needs have increased dramatically in recent years.
