In Haiti, HI runs health, inclusion and prevention projects to support the population in coping with the country's acute multisectoral crisis.

HI started activities in Somaliland in 1992 by setting up a rehabilitation centre in Hargeisa. HI’s strategy in Somaliland is to advocate for the rights of persons with disabilities and to engage development actors in promoting inclusion and participation of people with disabilities at local and national levels.

HI is working in Egypt to improve the daily lives of people with disabilities and champion their rights. HI teams have been implementing various activities to promote access to inclusive and adapted services for people with disabilities and vulnerable populations, with a specific focus on women and girls with disabilities.

2025 marks the third year of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The humanitarian crisis continues to worsen, with 12.7 million people in need of assistance according to the humanitarian needs response plan. The intensification of attacks on essential infrastructure has made life increasingly difficult for millions of Ukrainians, and the number of civilian casualties continues to rise.

Thailand hosts large numbers of refugees from Myanmar. HI works in the refugee camps, providing services to landmines victims and people with disabilities, improving the living conditions and promoting the inclusion of vulnerable people and people with disabilities in their communities and providing risk education awareness to the refugees.

Since 2011, HI Tunisia has been developing actions to ensure that disability rights are incorporated into the democratic transition process.  

HI’s programme in the Central African Republic supports humanitarian organisations by providing logistical solutions to improve the storage and distribution of humanitarian aid. The programme also supports physical rehabilitation centres in the country and implements inclusion and armed violence reduction projects. 

HI has been operational continuously in Libya since 2011, and up until the end of 2014 delivered large-scale Humanitarian Mine Action. Today, HI works to protect vulnerable groups from the dangers of explosive remnants of war and small arms and light weapons through risk education messaging.

HI closed its programs in Indonesia  in July 2022.

In the previous years, HI supports social and economic inclusion projects for the most vulnerable and people with disabilities, and ensured they can access to inclusive multi-sectoral assistance, services, and information during the COVID-19 pandemic.

HI works in Yemen to support vulnerable people and persons with disabilities as well as those injured in the regional conflict, which has affected the country since March 2015. The organisation also supports NGOs to better include persons with disabilities in the emergency response.

In 1975, at the end of the Vietnam war, the country was struggling to recover. Today, HI is helping the population to rebuild and running projects aimed at preventing disability.

HI is implementing emergency and development actions aiming at improving protection, quality of life, and the promotion of rights of vulnerable individuals, their families, and communities in different locations throughout the country.

Humanity & Inclusion has been working in this country for the past 19 years. Its goals are to support the inclusion of children with disabilities in education, provide access to rehabilitation and orthopaedic fitting services, and promote the rights of people with disabilities.

HI works in Iraq by providing rehabilitation care and psychosocial support, conducting clearance operations, and running explosive remnants of war risk awareness raising sessions.

In Jordan, HI actively supports rehabilitation services for people with disabilities. The organisation identifies risks or early signs of disability in young children and provides timely rehabilitation services to mitigate potential complications. Additionally, HI promotes inclusive employment and ensures access to education for all, focusing on children with disabilities. HI also supports livelihood opportunities for people with disabilities and supports deinstitutionalisation efforts, promoting community-based care and independent living for individuals with disabilities.
