Syria crisis: Our biggest expense is medicine November, 20 2018
At the start of the war in Syria, Hussein and his family left their home town to take refuge in Jordan. In the last few years, he has suffered from a series of medical complications. Thanks to Humanity & Inclusion's partnership with a local rehabilitation centre, the arthritis he suffers from in his knee is now managed by a team of physiotherapists.

Latin and Central America against the bombing of populated areas December, 4 2018
On 5th and 6th December 2018, Humanity & Inclusion will organise a regional conference in Santiago, the capital of Chile, on protecting civilians from bombing. Twenty-six governments and some thirty civil society organisations and international NGOs will attend. The organisation hopes to raise awareness of this crucial issue and encourage States to take a stand against the use of explosive weapons in populated areas.

Latin America says Stop Bombing Civilians December, 7 2018
The Regional Conference on Protecting Civilians from the Use of Explosive Weapons in Populated Areas organized by HI, in Santiago, Chile, ended on 6 December. 23 States adopted the Santiago Communiqué expressing concern over the devastating impact on civilians of the use of explosive weapons in populated areas. "The mine threw me up into the air and ripped my leg off" December, 18 2018
Raja, from Yemen, is 13 years old. She was looking after the sheep in the mountains when she trod on a mine which exploded and threw her into the air. Her leg was ripped off.

For a Mine-Free World by 2025 December, 6 2019
The Fourth Review Conference for a Mine Free World, which HI participated in, closed on Friday 29 November in Oslo, Norway. State Parties to the Mine Ban Treaty adopted a five-year action plan to ensure mine clearance and other treaty obligations are met by 2025.
