Over the weekend, Cyclone Mocha was expected to hit the world's largest refugee camp, bringing with it destructive winds, storm surge, and the potential for landslides. With 550 staff and volunteers at Cox's Bazar—home to nearly 1 million Rohingya refugees—in Bangladesh, Humanity & Inclusion teams launched emergency plans.

Mocha may hit the border area of Bangladesh and Myanmar on sunday 14th May. Concerns are very high regarding Cox’s Bazar refugee camps, where 1 million Rohingya are living.

For the past four years, this Rohingya mother living in a refugee camp in Bangladesh has been able to count on the support of HI to help her two daughters with disabilities become more autonomous.

Following severe floods and landslides on 27 July 2021, Humanity & Inclusion (HI) is assisting the most vulnerable people in the Rohingya refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar District.

Humanity & Inclusion’s (HI's) teams are working to assist people affected by the fire that swept through a Rohingya refugee camp in Cox’s Bazar on 22nd March.

On 22nd March, a major blaze ripped through the Rohingya refugee camps in Bangladesh. More than 40,000 people were directly affected and lost their shelter. Eleven people died and over 550 people were injured, according to initial reports. Humanity & Inclusion's (HI’s) teams have been deployed to assist the most vulnerable.

On 14th January 2021, a fire broke out in Nayarapa refugee camp, Bangladesh, destroying more than 500 shelters. Humanity & Inclusion’s (HI) teams provided support to individuals and families impacted.
