Humanity & Inclusion's actions for malnourished children are based on the emotional bond between parents and children. Amina, mother of a baby who has benefited from these interventions, tells us about her experience.

On 15 April 2023, an armed conflict broke out in Sudan. From May 2023, Humanity & Inclusion have been providing support and care for Sudanese refugees in Eastern Chad fleeing the violence.

The little boy, wounded by gunfire almost a year ago, is working hard to regain feeling and mobility in his legs through intensive rehabilitation sessions, supported by Humanity & Inclusion’s team in eastern Chad.

Mahamat (not his real name) is 13 years old. After fleeing his village after attacks by armed groups, he is now living in a camp for displaced people in Kousseri, on the shores of Lake Chad.

Hawa is 14 years old. She lives in Fourkoulham, a camp for internally displaced people on Lake Chad. Born without a left foot, she is able to go back to school with her prosthesis provided by Humanity & Inclusion.

In the Lake Province of Chad, insecurity has prevented thousands of children from attending school. Humanity & Inclusion works to improve their access to education, protection and psychosocial support.

Humanity & Inclusion (HI) trains and encourages the next generation of rehabilitation professionals. After receiving support from HI, Wilfreed now works as a physiotherapist in Chad.

Humanity & Inclusion contributed to the construction of the only school in the village of Ngourtou Koumboua which is home to over 7,000 people displaced by violence.
